i will 'fess up what is bothering me here. over in the database wg of ripe,
we're feeling the tension between each database (equibvalent of registry)
feeling it needs the closure of all references to be contained in the
database so that it can make guarantees about referential integrity, and the
problems of having to register the same entities in many databases. the
latter has its own integrity problem, how many places do i have to update
my address when i move? can i even find out all the places i have to change
it?
distributed data is not a simple problem.
