Scott,
I'd like to side with randy on this one. IMHO, this "feature" would only
add to confusion.
Registrars are only allowed to manage SLD's that are owned by them and
management of another domain, and hince the NS under the parent is not
allowed. Most registrars are confused any ways and allowing a customer to
create NS records and point them at any IP address they choose is going
to create greater confusion within registrars.
I'm for leaving it as is.
At least folks are forced to figure out just who is responsible for the NS
they want to use. the little extra homework required leads to better
information stuffed into whois and the DNS and I see no reason to add more
conusion to either.
