I'm almost finished with the next (and hopefully pretty near final) version
of the requirements document for a generic registry-registrar protocol. One
more thing I'd like to throw out for discussion is contact typing. Does
anyone think that the notion of contact typing (such as technical,
administrative, billing, registrant) is a good idea, or should we consider
simplifying somewhat to a narrower definition of perhaps two types, such as
registrant (the person or entity that owns the domain) and authorized agent
(the person responsible for administrative control)?
