Mike,
Given the current state of registrar-registrar protocol efforts I'm really
trying to not add new features to RRP. All of the 2.0.0 changes are either:
a) needed right now because of real operational needs (the IPv6 addressing
and transfer reject stuff in particular), or
b) helpful in the context of a transition to parallel operations with EPP as
part of a plan to migrate completely to EPP.
While adding auth info-like things to RRP would certainly be helpful, my
preference is to do as little as possible to extend the life of RRP while
planning for a transition to EPP.
